As part of the End to End Digital Customer Relationships, Installed base tracking has become one of the key pillar to grow drastically Services revenues: both field services and digital services. Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled and experienced AWS Lead to join our Installed Base Team. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding and hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services cloud. You will play a crucial role in leading the delivery of the Installed Base AWS developent team, ensuring platform and services readiness and defining the technological cloud architecture to bolster our business capabilities. Schneider Installed base (IB) is the central data platform where all the product asset data that we track is collected, qualified, consolidated and exposed. The IB AWS Lead is a key team member of installed base digital capability. Your role :
- Lead and mentor a team of AWS developers, providing technical guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Leading technology initiatives related to private clouds with multi-tenant configurations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design scalable AWS architectures, and develop secure and efficient cloud-based applications.
- Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of AWS projects, ensuring adherence to best practices and high coding standards.
- Drive continuous improvement by staying updated with AWS services, identifying opportunities for optimization, and implementing innovative solutions.
- Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and deliverables to meet business objectives.
- Performance Optimization: Focus on optimizing performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Cloud Governance : Utilize tools such as IAM, resource tagging, cost management, etc. to enforce AWS governance policies and implement monitoring and alerting solutions to address issues proactively.
- Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment, promoting knowledge sharing and skill development.
- Ensure best practices are followed in cloud development, focusing on scalability, maintainability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
- Participate in architecture review board meetings and make strategic recommendations for cloud architecture.
- 4+ years' experience working in IT cloud development roles
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent (technical background required).
- Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, especially the data management ones.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of best practices in software cloud architecture.
- A desire for continuous learning and staying updated with emerging technologies.
- Understanding of service business processes is a plus.
- Experience with DevOps practices and tools for AWS, such as Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Developer certification is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud is a plus.
- Due to the nature of this position sitting on a global team, fluent English communication skills (written & spoken) is required.
- Ability to see the consumer perspective and act as their advocate.
